At Visy India, their technology hub in Hyderabad, they are expanding their technical capabilities to support their global business.Introduction to the role:Position title: Management Accountant VP8Division / Sub-Division PaperCountry/Region Coverage Gibson Island, QldRole Location: Hyderabad, IndiaPosition summary:In the Paper Division, the role of Management Accountant involves supporting the finance team across various functions, Management Accounting control of Mill & Gasifier PL, BS, financial reporting (MME, EOM, Year End), Budget management, and ad hoc financial tasks. This multifaceted position is crucial for ensuring high-quality data integrity and providing essential support to optimize the financial efficiency of operations. The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial software, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.Key responsibilities:What are the primary responsibilities of the role?Results, Analyzing, Monitoring & Reporting:Complete profit and loss report for MME and EOMMeet Reporting deadlines including one day reportingMonitor and report on monthly operating performance achieved against budgeted and standard figuresAnalyze current operating performance, using previous and estimated costs to assist management in determining potential/estimated performance. Review reported costs and follow up on cost overruns and the correct treatmentMonitor, analyze and report on expenditure every monthManage and provide support during the budget and forecasting processMonitor, manage, and report on the working capitalReporting on capital expenditure: i.e. Monitor on a monthly basis all open capital project, liaise with Project Manager/ Site Manager on the status of the project and ensure completed projects are promptly closed.Daily KPI Reporting i.e. Production, Landfill, MRP & Energy StatsJournal processingOther Ad-Hoc supportCompliance:Balance Sheet Reconciliation and resolve any issues as required.Support through the Year End Activities and Audit reviewsMaintain and improve the integrity of accounts, processes and systemParticipate in stock takes reviews and report on varianceKey challenges:Ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial data management and reporting.Balancing multiple financial tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Navigating complex financial systems and processes to optimize efficiency.Key stakeholders:Internal: Finance Manager, Procurement Team, Site Operations Team.External: AuditorsDirect reports (Your team):None. However, the role requires collaboration and coordination across various financial functions.Experience and Qualifications:Mandatory (critical for the role):At least 3 years’ experience in manufacturing & financial environmentTertiary Qualified in Accountancy/ Commerce (Preferable CA or CPA qualified)Excellent communications skillsProficiency in financial software, such as SAP or Oracle, is highly desirable.Desirable (preferable for the role)Experience with Intermediate/Advance Excel functions.Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements in the paper sector.Performs the responsibilities of the role ethicallySkills (technical, business, leadership):Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.Effective communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders.Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.Strong Excel skills
