Our work spans drinking water treatment, industrial water, sewage treatment plants and rural water distribution.The RoleWe are hiring a Project Engineer (Electrical) for a large rural drinking water project across 8 districts of Karnataka, involving electrochlorination-based water treatment systems. This is a hands-on, field-based role: you will own site execution end-to-end for an assigned cluster of 2–3 districts, reporting to the Project Manager and working alongside Project Engineers from other disciplines.Key Responsibilities• Conduct and supervise site surveys, geo-tagging and site-readiness checks across your district cluster.• Receive and inspect equipment and materials dispatched from our central facility; record condition, log inward registers, and report any transit damage or non-conformance.• Supervise site-wise installation and commissioning to specification, with geo-tagged photographs and signed annexures at every stage.• Lead the electrical scope — installation and connection of electrochlorination systems, electrical panels, wiring, earthing and power-supply coordination with the local electricity utility (DISCOM).• Oversee commissioning of electromechanical components — electrolytic cells, dosing pumps, control panels — and instrumentation calibration (pH / ORP / chlorine measurement).• Carry out electrical quality and safety checks; ensure compliance with electrical safety norms and statutory requirements.• Coordinate on the ground with Gram Panchayats, Engineering Sub-Division (ESD) engineers and customer field officials; supervise installation contractors and labour.• Lead teams to carry out Maintenance of plants for 5 years.• Submit daily site updates and weekly progress reports to the Project Manager.Note: Procurement and manufacturing are handled centrally from our Nagpur office and are not within this role's scope.What We're Looking For• B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.• 3–8 years of site execution experience in water, wastewater, public health engineering, rural infrastructure or allied EPC sectors.• Experience on rural / government-client projects (JJM, rural water supply, AMRUT, irrigation or allied schemes) is a strong advantage.• Exposure to electrochlorination, dosing systems, control panels or instrumentation is an added advantage.• Kannada – mandatory; English – working proficiency required; Hindi – desirable.• Willing to be field-based and to rotate continuously across project sites within the assigned district cluster; valid driving licence required.Compensation & BenefitsCompensation commensurate with experience and qualification, plus Provident Fund (PF), Group Insurance, and conveyance / fuel reimbursement for field travel.Why Join HESWEJoin an established 20+ year-old water engineering company with a pan-India footprint.
