Position DetailsDesignation: Deputy Manager Department: Logistics Experience: 6–10 Years (Cement / Building Materials Industry) Qualification: Graduate/Post Graduate in Logistics / Supply Chain Management. MBA preferred.2. Role PurposeThe Assistant Manager – Logistics is responsible for planning, executing, and controlling secondary logistics operations to ensure timely, cost-effective, and safe delivery of cement to distributors and customers, while supporting business growth and maintaining operational excellence..Key Responsibilities Plan and manage secondary logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of cement. Coordinate with transporters, distributors, depots, and sales teams for smooth dispatches. Optimize route planning and truck utilization to reduce logistics cost. Monitor daily dispatch, transit time, and delivery performance. Handle transporter negotiations, rate finalization, and performance evaluation. Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and company logistics policies. Manage documentation related to invoices, e-way bills, PODs, and freight bills. Resolve delivery-related complaints and operational bottlenecks. Coordinate with warehouse teams for inventory planning and stock movement. Prepare MIS reports on logistics cost, delivery efficiency, and transporter performance. 3. Competency Framework A.
