As part of our strategic expansion in India, we are building a dynamic commercial team to drive revenue growth, brand positioning and market penetration across our hotel portfolio.Role OverviewThe Country Sales Manager – India will lead the hotel sales strategy across UHM’s portfolio in India. This role is responsible for driving room revenue, corporate accounts, MICE business, leisure partnerships and strategic market positioning.The ideal candidate must have strong hotel sales experience, deep knowledge of the Indian hospitality market, and established relationships within corporate, travel trade, and event segments.Key Responsibilities1. Hotel Sales Strategy & Revenue GrowthDevelop and execute country-level sales strategies aligned with business goals.Drive room revenue, long-stay business, corporate accounts, and group bookings.Identify new market segments and business opportunities.Support pricing strategy in collaboration with Revenue Management.2. Corporate & Travel Trade DevelopmentBuild and maintain strong relationships with:Corporate accountsTravel Management Companies (TMCs)OTAs and distribution partnersEvent planners and MICE organizersNegotiate preferred agreements and rate contracts.3. MICE & Group SalesLead group and event sales initiatives.Drive conferences, weddings, and social event business where applicable.Work closely with property teams to convert leads into confirmed business.4. Multi-Property Sales CoordinationOversee sales performance across properties in India.Align property-level sales managers with country targets.Monitor conversion ratios, pipeline performance, and key account production.5. Market Intelligence & ReportingAnalyze market trends, competitor activity, and demand patterns.Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports.Identify risks and implement corrective action plans.6. Brand Positioning & PartnershipsStrengthen UHM’s brand visibility in the Indian hospitality market.Represent UHM at trade shows, networking events, and industry forums.Develop strategic partnerships to drive long-term growth.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or related field.8–10 years of progressive experience in hotel sales, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role.Proven track record in driving corporate and group business in hotels.Strong network within Indian corporate and travel trade markets.Multi-property or cluster sales experience preferred.Key CompetenciesStrong negotiation and influencing skillsCommercial and revenue-driven mindsetRelationship-building and networking capabilityAnalytical and strategic thinkingLeadership and team coordination skillsEntrepreneurial mindset suited to a growing portfolio
