Job Role: IBDP Biology & ESS Teacher (International Curriculum)Location: Sector 70A, GurgaonThe IBDP/Cambridge Biology and ESS Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction that prepares students for external examinations in both curricula. This role involves managing diverse assessment requirements, including the IB Internal Assessments (IA) and Cambridge Practical Exams.Key ResponsibilitiesCurriculum Delivery & PlanningIBDP Biology (SL/HL): Plan and deliver lessons covering the core syllabus (Cell Biology, Genetics, Ecology, etc.) and HL-specific topics like Nucleic Acids and Plant Biology.IBDP ESS (SL): Deliver this interdisciplinary subject by bridging the gap between scientific methodology and environmental ethics/sociology.Cambridge AS & A Level: Teach advanced biological concepts with a focus on deep technical knowledge and precise exam terminology required by CIE.Practical Work & AssessmentInternal Assessments (IA): Supervise and provide feedback on individual student research projects (IAs) for both Biology and ESS, ensuring they meet IB criteria for personal engagement and analysis.Cambridge Practical's: Train students for Paper 3 (Advanced Practical Skills), focusing on microscopy, titration, and biological drawing skills.Extended Essay (EE): Act as a supervisor for students choosing to write their 4,000-word research paper in Biology or ESS.Student Support & MentorshipDifferentiate instruction to support students with varying levels of scientific background.Prepare students for the specific /"command terms/" used in IB vs. the /"mark scheme/" precision required by Cambridge.Support the IB Learner Profile and International Mindedness within the science department.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field.Strong collaboration skills for interdisciplinary teaching (especially for ESS).Completion of Category 1 or 2 IB Workshops for Biology and/or ESS.
