This is not a consulting role. We need someone who has been in the trenches: managed teams, owned P&L responsibility, delivered real results, and understands what it takes to build and improve businesses from the inside. You will work closely with our investment team and portfolio company leaders to drive operational improvements and create measurable value.This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious operator who wants to accelerate their career, gain exposure to multiple industries and business models, and learn the private equity playbook while making a direct impact on company performance.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPre-Investment SupportSupport commercial due diligence efforts by assessing operational capabilities and identifying value creation opportunitiesHelp develop 100-day plans and initial value creation roadmaps for new investmentsConduct operational assessments of target companies and validate improvement hypothesesBuild financial models to quantify value creation opportunitiesPortfolio Company Value CreationDrive operational improvement initiatives across portfolio companies, focusing on revenue growth, margin expansion, and efficiency gainsWork hands-on with management teams on critical business challenges including sales effectiveness, pricing optimization, operational efficiency, customer retention, and digital transformationEstablish KPI dashboards and tracking systems to monitor progress and drive accountabilityIdentify and implement best practices across the portfolio, creating playbooks and repeatable processesSupport M&A integration efforts and help portfolio companies execute buy-and-build strategiesCoordinate with external consultants and specialists as needed to address specific challengesStrategic PartnershipBuild trusted relationships with portfolio company CEOs and management teamsParticipate in board meetings and provide operational insightsCollaborate with the investment team on portfolio monitoring and value creation trackingHelp prepare portfolio companies for successful exitsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience & Background7-10 years of progressive professional experience with demonstrated operating leadershipReal operating experience in roles such as General Manager, Business Unit Leader, VP Operations, VP Sales/Revenue, or similar P&L or functional leadership positionsTrack record of managing teams and delivering measurable business results (revenue growth, margin improvement, operational efficiency)MBA from a top-tier program strongly preferred; adds significant value through analytical frameworks and business acumenExposure to private equity-backed companies or fast-growth environments is a plus but not requiredCore CompetenciesStrong business acumen with understanding of how companies create value and drive profitabilityProven ability to diagnose business problems, develop practical solutions, and drive executionFunctional expertise in at least 2-3 areas: operations, sales & marketing, finance, supply chain, customer success, or technologyStrong analytical and financial modeling skills—comfortable with Excel, financial statements, and business metricsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills—ability to influence and build credibility with senior executivesRoll-up-your-sleeves work ethic with ability to be both strategic and hands-onEntrepreneurial mindset with high energy, curiosity, and comfort with ambiguitySuccess Indicators from Prior RolesLed or contributed to significant business improvements (e.g., grew revenue 30-50%+, improved margins 300-500 bps, launched successful new initiatives)Managed cross-functional projects or initiatives that delivered measurable resultsBuilt or improved processes, systems, or capabilities that scaled with the businessReceived recognition for performance and promoted based on resultsWHAT WE OFFERCompetitive base salary and performance-based bonusOpportunity to participate in fund economics as you grow in the rolePotential co-investment opportunities in portfolio companiesDirect exposure to private equity investing and value creation methodologiesOpportunity to work across multiple industries and business models, accelerating your learningClear path to expanded responsibilities and senior operating partner roleClose collaboration with experienced investment professionals and portfolio company executivesEntrepreneurial, collaborative culture where impact is valued and rewarded
