Security Analyst

Job SummaryThe Information Security Fresher will support the organization’s efforts to protect sensitive customer, financial, and policy data. This role involves monitoring security controls, assisting in risk assessments, supporting compliance with insurance and regulatory standards, and helping maintain a secure IT environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in monitoring information security systems, logs, and alerts to detect potential security incidentsSupport implementation and maintenance of information security policies, standards, and proceduresHelp conduct basic risk assessments and vulnerability assessments on applications and infrastructureAssist in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (IRDAI, ISO 27001, data protection laws, etc.)Support access control management (user access reviews, privilege management)Participate in incident response activities such as investigation, documentation, and reportingAssist in data protection initiatives including encryption, backup verification, and secure data handlingHelp with security awareness programs and phishing simulations for employeesMaintain documentation related to security controls, incidents, and auditsCoordinate with IT, application, and business teams to address security gapsRequired Skills & KnowledgeTechnical SkillsBasic understanding of information security concepts (CIA triad, risk, threats, vulnerabilities)Familiarity with:Network security fundamentalsOperating systems (Windows/Linux basics)Firewalls, antivirus, endpoint security concepts Basic knowledge of:Identity & Access Management (IAM)Encryption and data protection principlesSecure application development concepts (OWASP basics)Tools (Exposure preferred, not mandatory)SIEM tools (basic awareness)Vulnerability scanning toolsMicrosoft security tools or similar platformsExperience - 1-3 years.Educational QualificationsBachelor’s degree in:Computer ScienceInformation TechnologyCyber SecurityElectronics or related fieldPreferred Certifications (Optional)ISO 27001 FoundationCEH (Beginner level)CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent knowledge)Soft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and documentation skillsWillingness to learn security tools and insurance regulationsGood communication and teamwork abilitiesEthical mindset and respect for confidentiality
