Experience: 10-15 yearsLocation: Corporate Office Gurgaon (Handling Multiple Running Projects)Working Days - 6Role SummarySenior QS responsible for end-to-end commercial control of multiple ongoing projects including contractor billing verification, quantity validation, extra item & variation management, cost monitoring, and coordination with Projects and Finance teams. The role ensures commercial compliance, cost protection, and timely bill processing as per contract terms.Key Responsibilities1. Contractor Billing & CertificationDetailed verification of RA Bills and Final Bills with supporting documents.Cross-checking executed quantities with BOQ, approved drawings, site measurements, and contract conditions.Validation of rates as per agreement, approved extras, and work orders.Checking material reconciliation (cement, steel, major materials).Ensuring proper deductions (Retention, GST, TDS, LD, advance recovery, etc.).Preparing certification summary and forwarding approved bills to Finance post clearance from Director – Projects.Maintaining bill tracking register for all projects.Random audit of high-value and bulk quantities.Verification of progressive billing percentages.Monitoring of material reconciliation statements.Ensuring quantity control to prevent over-certification.2. Extra Items & Variation ManagementIdentification and evaluation of non-BOQ items and quantity deviations.Detailed rate analysis and commercial justification of extra items.Assessment of cost impact on overall project budget.Preparation of variation approval notes with supporting documents.Ensuring no payment of extra items without formal approval.3. Cost Monitoring & Commercial ReportingPreparation of monthly cost reports (Budget vs Actual).Monitoring commitments, liabilities, and cash flow impact.Highlighting cost overruns, commercial risks, and pending variations.Providing commercial insights and decision support to Director – Projects.4. Contract AdministrationInterpretation and enforcement of payment terms, variation clauses, escalation provisions, and LD conditions.Ensuring billing and payments strictly as per contractual terms.Maintaining proper documentation for audit and compliance.5. Multi-Project CoordinationHandling billing cycles of multiple projects simultaneously.Coordination with Project Managers, Site Teams, Planning, Procurement, and Finance.Standardizing billing and commercial processes across projects.Ensuring timely certification without affecting project cash flow.Technical CompetenciesStrong knowledge of BOQ, rate analysis, and contract management.Proficiency in quantity take-off and billing verification.Advanced Excel and ERP familiarity.Sound understanding of Civil, Finishing & MEP works.Preferred QualificationBachelors in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical or in similar field.
