JOB TITLE: Product MerchandiserFUNCTIONAL AREA: ApparelREPORTS TO: Category HeadPOSITION’S OBJECTIVE: (Brief on position’s objective)KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Range Room DevelopmentHelp in creating Mood Boards and themes for the seasonSampling based on the Buy Plan req. as per the T&A. Spec creation. DP PO creation within 1 month of order placement. Releasing excel POs. Sending tech packs to PHsRange development basis design brief in coordination with PHWork on new product development for new Business based on design brief, option plan , range planCoordination with Fabric PH and weaver for arranging sampling yardagesMaintain the right mix of silhouettes, fabrics, cuts, sleeves, necklines etc. in samples based on the buy planTrend Analysis - Regular Market & Competitor analysis to ensure ranges & pricing is in keeping with the market trendsStyle wise modifications/comments to be shared with PH/Producer on shortlisted and rejected samples within a week of receipt/review of rangeClosure of costings to maintain the GPMaintaining sampling tracker and updating it real-timeWork on new product development for Occasion Wear based on design brief, option plan , range planRange Review/Presentation:Ensure receipt of all samples with correct trims as per agreed timelines Timely colourway closuresPrepare for internal range presentations up to the MRH & consolidate feedback on the rangePhotoshoot and cataloguing of new rangeSelected Range of Presented RangeCreate & present a range as per the option plan & price mixFabric innovation as well as core fabric representation in the rangeSilhouette InnovationProductionColourway Closure, Style Detailing, Product changes pre MRH to be completed and handed over to Production Help support Design Input in case of Fast Chase opportunitiesReview Fabric qualities with Fabric team before ordering and workAssist the production team in working on CAD consumptions Assist in diluting the fabric stock as per the requirementAssist in PH allocationDocumentation:Prepare and maintain fabric chartsProduct Range CatalogueTimely return of rejected samples and documentation per SPPI requirementArchiving all Designer/comp samples for future discussion/referenceJOB SPECIFICATION: (QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE)Years of Functional Experience: 5 - 8 years of work experience in Merchandising, Sampling, Product development Degree/Diploma: B. Ftech / M.
