Netezza Database Administrator

Blutic is looking for a Netezza Database Administrator with minimum 5 years experience. Working as a DBA having strong skills in database design, maintenance, configuration and administration, and should have supported large development teams. The candidate should be proficient in Linux/Unix when working with the Netezza host, and be able to perform standard DBA activities. This position will require on-call and weekend support on rotation basis for planned and unplanned activities.The candidate should have supported 24x7 systems in a High-Availability environment. The Administrator would also establish security controls for PHI/PII data in compliance with Corporate and legal guidelinesThis is a 100% remote opportunity.Roles & responsibilitiesThe candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field Administration, Installations, Migrations, Patching, Backup and Recovery to provide 24x7 Production Support.Monitoring and analyzing Logs.Good understanding of Indexes, Statistics and PostgresExperience working in /"Performance Tuning/"Creation and maintenance of Databases, creating Roles and managing user permissions, resolving deadlocks.Worked on Database Maintenance, Backups and Recovery Plans.Database Monitoring, Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, Backup/Recovery, Security Management.Worked on Replication and Log Shipping related issues.Worked with Crontab Administering databases in development, test, QA and production environment.Automation using PowerShell scripts, BASH, PythonImplementing best practices for access controlsAbility to document technical as well as management process flowsAbility to work effectively with business areas, IT Support teams and peersStrong verbal and written communication skillsNot required, but nice to have: experience working in Azure, AWS or Snowflake
