System Administrator

We’re seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to support our Azure-first infrastructure and business-facing technology applications. This hands-on role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys solving complex technical challenges through automation and orchestration.As a Systems Administrator, you’ll collaborate with internal teams to maintain and enhance systems performance, security, and reliability. You’ll play a key role in supporting transformational application development efforts and infrastructure modernization.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Deploy, configure, and optimize systems: Azure VMs (Windows Server & Ubuntu), Windows 365 Cloud PC, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, DNS, SFTP• Assist with migration from legacy Active Directory to Entra Domain Services (including hybrid scenarios)• Implement device management via Microsoft Intune, Group Policy, and Azure Update Manager• Apply security controls (Microsoft Defender, Entra SSO, Intune Cloud PKI) in partnership with Security Engineering• Monitor system performance using Datadog, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics• Support Microsoft 365 collaboration tools: SharePoint, Teams, Outlook• Automate workflows using PowerShell, Intune Scripts, and Control-M or similar job-scheduler• Document procedures and incidents following ITIL knowledge management practices• Participate in service outage response and resolutionREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate• Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate• 2+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure and virtualization• Must-have technologies:o PowerShell (intermediate scripting with Azure modules)o Microsoft Intuneo Entra Domain Serviceso Datadogo Control-M or similar job-schedulero Azure Update Manager• Strong communication and collaboration skills• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environmentEXPECTED DELIVERABLES• Successful migration to Entra Domain Services• Mature Intune-based device management across target endpoints• Automation of key workflows using PowerShell• Documentation of system architecture and operational procedures• Performance tuning and alerting setup via Datadog and Azure MonitorWORK STRUCTURE• Participate in weekly engineering syncs• Report progress bi-weekly to VP, Systems Engineering• Collaborate via Microsoft Teams and Jira for task tracking• Create documentation and GitHub or Azure DevOps for version controlSECURITY & COMPLIANCE• Ensure systems align with internal security policies• Participate in quarterly access reviews and patch audits• Apply and maintain security controls across cloud and endpoint infrastructurePERFORMANCE INDICATORS• Uptime and reliability of managed systems• Reduction in manual tasks through automation• Response time to incidents and alerts• Completion of deliverables within agreed timelines
