Senior Data Engineer

Role: Senior Data EngineerLocation: RemoteJob Type: Full-timeShift time: Open to work in EST shift (5PM to 2AM IST)Key Responsibilities- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex data integration solutions using Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC). - Develop, document, unit test, and maintain high-quality ETL applications that meet customer expectations and adhere to best practices. - Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members through code reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing. - Collaborate closely with project managers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, define technical solutions, and ensure successful project delivery. - Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. - Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data pipeline by implementing appropriate data validation and cleansing mechanisms. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex data integration issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations. - Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data integration technologies and best practices. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of our data integration processes and methodologies.Required Skills- 5+ years of experience in IT with a focus on Data Management. - 1+ year of experience as a Lead handling both technical and non-technical activities. - 4+ years of experience with Informatica products. - 2+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC. - Must have implemented at least one full lifecycle IDMC projects. - Hands-on experience with Informatica CDI. - Must have led large projects involving large teams. - Experience integrating external business applications with Informatica IDMC using batch processes, API calls, and message queues. - In-depth knowledge of at least one relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL). - Experience with data warehousing concepts and methodologies (e.g., Kimball, Inmon). - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex data integration challenges. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams. - Experience with Agile methodologies in a fast-paced, iterative environment.Desired Skills- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-based data integration tools. - Knowledge of data quality tools and techniques.
