Job Title: Sr. QC Executive/ QC Executive Functional Area: Quality Assurance/control (Furniture & Hardgoods)Job Location: Head Office - FaridabadEducation Qualification: BSC/M.Sc in Forest Science or wood science/Any graduate or Post graduateKey Responsibilities:Quality Assurance & Quality ControlCheck that the raw material procured adheres to the quality standards approved by QC HO. To monitor wood procurement and curing.Sample inspection at various stages with prescribed QC report.Check that final approved samples/Pre-production sampleas per the guidelines received from the product team. Same points must be discussed with the vendor and escalate variances to QC Incharge. To ensure that approved samples are reviewed with vendors along with full details.To get the product details (IDF) and drawings from the vendor and verify this and submit to QC-incharge. Post approval get the same document from the QC-Head and follow the same through out the production and dispatch.Inspect goods at factory at Inline/midline/final inspection as per QC guidelines and make the report to proceed further.Maintain all data related to order and production. Submit these details during vendor's evaluation process.Support and guide factories for product/process improvements and testing implementationIdentify and control product issues with effective RCA and CAPA implementaion and working on continuous improvement. Supporting QC incharge/Supervisor in product improvement and product technical reviewsComplaint Addresal and resolutionTo support QC Incharge at PH in resolving complaints on the tracker and following up to ensure closing of complaints by the storesTo ensure that complaint value is within the permissible limits set by the companyTake corrective action based on repetitive complaints to make the product defect free in future.Continuos improvement at allocated factories in process, material and product to control complaint and improve quality.Documentation Maintain vendor history, factory evaluation/Audit and monitor vendor efficiency (production timelines, rejections, quality parameters) Make all records received from PSC / QC HO and respective PH category merchandiser for product approvals and product accessoriesMaintain all records of vendor site Inspections-mid line and final inspection reports.Complaint tracker records for internal reference and resolutions.RCA/CAPA documentation, product review reports in standard formatsCommunicationTimely communication with QC Incharge and PH merchandiser to minimize quality issues and production timelinesCommunication with the vendor for all defects and amendments required for product improvement.Proactive alers in product issues and improvements.Self Development and TeamworkSelf development on weak areas.Able to put team's agenda, or the good of the whole, ahead of personAbility to work in partnership with team members and contribute to team goalsAble to travel in alloted region as per job profile.Organised and planning oriented.Knowledge & Skills:Experience of 5+ years into Merchandising, Sampling and Product DevelopmentFabindia Product KnowledgeGood Knowledge of Furniture (solid wood and engineered wood) & hardgoods products. Strong knowledge about production and process-machining, assembly, polishing and packing. Material knowlede-pre and post procedures like chemical treatment of wood, seasoning, stacking, plating and powder coating in metals, cermaicware prodcution process, glazes, decal etc. Understanding of furniture/product drawings (preferrably Auto CAD-2D or 3D). Understanding of metal, glass, coatings, fixtures, and furniture hardware. Good communication skill and computer knowledge with MS office. MS excel is mandatory for analysis and various other operations. Language: English and Hindi. English reading and writing is mandatory. Product testing - safety, functionality and chemical testing knowledge as per Indian Standards or ISO for food contact material and furniture categories AQL understanding and working knowledge. Understanding of RCA and CAPA with implementation Technical knowledge of furniture NPD, technical review and development. Knowledge of excel with data analytics skills. PPT presentation knowledge.
