Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Job SummaryAppsoleut Games is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior QA Testerwho is passionate about gaming and quality excellence. This role involves leadingtesting efforts for mobile and online games, ensuring a seamless, engaging, and high-quality player experience. You will work closely with developers, designers, and product teams, mentor junior QA members, and play a key role in defining QA best practicesacross projects.Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end QA activities for mobile and online games across Android, iOS, and web platforms - Plan, design, and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases - Perform functional, regression, sanity, smoke, and exploratory testing - Identify, report, prioritize, and track bugs related to gameplay, UI/UX, performance, security, and compatibility - Validate game mechanics, rules, scoring logic, in-game economy, and monetization flows - Test game updates, live events, rewards, leader boards, multiplayer features, and releases - Ensure consistent gameplay experience across multiple devices, screen sizes, and OS versions - Collaborate closely with developers to reproduce issues, verify fixes, and improve overall quality - Mentor and guide junior QA testers, providing feedback and best practices - Maintain and improve QA documentation, reports, and testing processes - Provide valuable feedback on gameplay experience, usability, and player engagement - Support release cycles and ensure quality benchmarks are met before production deploymentRequired Skills s Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) - 5–7+ years of experience as a QA Tester, preferably in gaming or mobile applications - Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile processes - Extensive experience in manual testing for mobile and online games - Hands-on experience with bug tracking and project management tools such as JIRA, ClickUp, or similar - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and documentation skills - Passion for games and deep understanding of player behaviour and gaming mechanics - Experience testing casual, arcade, card, real-time, or multiplayer games - Knowledge or hands-on exposure to automation tools (Selenium, Appium, or similar) is a plus - Ability to take ownership and work independently in a fast-paced environment
