Financial Controller | Series A Fintech Startup

Financial ControllerWe are a fast-growing, mission-driven consumer fintech operating in a large, underserved financial category, backed by strong institutional investors and a seasoned founding team. As we scale nationally, we are looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to build and strengthen the finance backbone of the business.Role Overview- Own end-to-end accounting, book closure, and financial control - Lead statutory audits, internal audits, and compliance frameworks - Drive internal controls, risk management, and governance processes - Implement and stabilise Zoho Books and lead ERP/process migrations - Partner closely with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cost controls - Build and manage a lean finance team (2–3 members initially) - Support investor reporting and scale-ready finance processesIdeal Profile- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) - 7–8 years of relevant experience - Background in consumer tech, fintech, high-scale digital businesses, or Big 4 - Strong grounding in accounting, audits, and financial controls - Experience setting up or improving finance systems and processes - Comfortable in a hands-on, execution-heavy role with ownership - Startup experience preferred but not mandatoryWhy This Role- High ownership and visibility with senior leadership - Opportunity to build finance systems from the ground up - Exposure to investors and strategic decision-making - Work in a fast-scaling, purpose-led consumer fintech with real impact
