Deputy Manager / Manager - Logistics Operations

About the RoleExecute and monitor logistics operations at mines, railway sidings, and stockyards. Coordinate with transporters, contractors, railway authorities, and internal departments for seamless Logistics operations. Supervise rake loading/unloading activities and cargo handling operations. Ensure transportation movement complies with DMG and Forest Department regulations.ResponsibilitiesPlan cargo stacking activities and minimize operational losses/spillage.Prepare and maintain daily operational MIS, movement reports, and logistics data.Monitor turnaround time and implement measures for operational improvement.Ensure adherence to operational discipline, safety standards, and company policies.Support continuous improvement initiatives for logistics efficiency and cost optimization.Handle local operational issues, stakeholder coordination, and union-related matters effectively.Manage deployment and utilization of field staff, drivers, and operational manpower. Qualifications08–12 years of relevant experience in Iron Ore logistics operations involving Road & Rail transportation. Required SkillsStrong understanding of Karnataka mining transportation regulations and field logistics operations.Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving abilities.Ability to independently manage field operations under challenging and high-pressure environments.Good leadership and team management skills.Proficient in operational reporting and data monitoring.
