Team Leader

About the Role : BLG Construction Services Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an accomplished Team Lead to head quality assurance, construction supervision and quality control activities for projects under the Gorakhpur Development Authority (GDA). The total project investment is approximately 2,500 Crore, encompassing large-scale building and urban infrastructure projects such as high-rise residential apartments, convention centers, and smart roads. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical leadership, hands-on exposure to high-rise building works using MIVAN shuttering technology, and in-depth knowledge of quality assurance frameworks for government infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities : Lead and supervise all Third-Party Quality Assurance (TPQA) activities across multiple sites, ensuring adherence to design and specification requirements. Oversee inspection, material testing, and verification of construction quality for building and infrastructure works. Verify contractors measurements, check quantity calculations, and certify interim and final bills in line with contractual provisions. Conduct independent reviews of quality assurance documents, test reports, and site records to maintain transparency. Ensure compliance with BIS, CPWD, MoHUA, and NBC standards, and uphold strict safety and environmental norms. Provide on-site technical guidance to the REs, AREs, quality engineers and field inspection teams. Coordinate closely with the client (GDA), EPC contractors, and external testing agencies for issue resolution and quality improvement. Review and submit detailed progress, compliance, and quality monitoring reports to the client. Support risk identification, dispute resolution, and continuous process improvement initiatives. Qualifications & Experience : Education: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (M.E./M.Tech preferred). Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in construction supervision and quality assurance of urban infrastructure projects, including at least 7 years in building works. Proven exposure to MIVAN shuttering systems, high-rise RCC structures, and quality control of large-scale government building projects. Demonstrated ability in verification of contractor measurements and billing processes. Strong understanding of modern QA/QC procedures, material specifications, and audit documentation. Prior experience in TPQA, PMC, or third-party inspection roles for government or smart city projects is highly desirable. Excellent leadership, communication, and reporting skills.
