Position Overview: The Sustainability Lead will be responsible for driving the company’s hand’s on implementation of environmental sustainability initiatives in construction. This role will focus on integrating sustainable practices into our luxury real estate projects, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of environmental responsibility without compromising on quality and design. The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive sustainability strategy, working closely with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement a sustainability strategy for the company’s construction projects, with a focus on reducing environmental impact. • Lead the integration of sustainable building practices, materials, and technologies in all current and future projects. • Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and suppliers to ensure sustainability goals are met. • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, regulations, and certifications in sustainable construction. • Identify and evaluate sustainable materials and technologies that align with the luxury real estate market. • Drive initiatives to reduce the carbon footprint of construction projects, including waste management, energy efficiency, and water conservation. • Monitor and report on the company’s sustainability performance, setting benchmarks and KPIs. • Engage with external partners, such as environmental consultants, government bodies, and industry associations, to enhance sustainability efforts. • Provide training and guidance to internal teams on sustainable practices. • Advocate for sustainability within the company and promote a culture of environmental responsibility. Qualifications: • Master’s degree in Sustainable/ Environmental Architecture, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. • Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in sustainable construction, green building, or environmental management, preferably within the luxury real estate sector. • Strong knowledge of sustainable building certifications (e.g., IGBC, GRIHA, LEED, BREEAM) and environmental regulations. • Proven track record of implementing successful sustainability initiatives in construction projects. • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. • Passion for sustainability and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in sustainable construction. • Ability to think creatively and innovatively to solve complex sustainability challenges.
