Production EngineerGKB Hitech Lenses Private Limited Goa, India (On-site)JOB DETAILSJob Title : Production EngineerReports To Production ManagerJOB OBJECTIVESSupport daily production by maintaining smooth workflows, quality and safety compliance and efficient use of machines and manpower, while driving continuous productivity improvements through strong shop floor engagement and cross functional coordination.ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESProduction Planning & ExecutionSupport daily and shift wise production based on targets shared by the Production Manager.Ensure production activities are carried out as per defined schedules, quantities and quality standards.Monitor actual output versus plan and report deviations with reasonsShop Floor Operations & Process ControlMonitor day to day shop floor activities to ensure standard operating procedures are followed.Ensure correct usage of machine, tools and equipment by operators.Identify bottlenecks, downtime issues, or inefficiencies in the production process and escalate proactively.Quality Control & ComplianceEnsure products meet defined quality standards and specifications.Coordinate with Quality team for inspections, corrective actions, and rework control.Support root cause analysis for defects and help implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).Manpower & Shift CoordinationCoordinate with supervisors and operators to ensure proper manpower availability as per shifts.Guide operators on work methods, productivity, expectations and safety practices.Support training of new operators on machines and processes.Machine Utilization & Downtime ReductionMonitor machine performance and utilization levels.Coordinate with Maintenance team for breakdowns, preventive maintenance and quick resolution of issues.Track downtime reasons and support initiatives to reduce lossesDocumentation & ReportingMaintain production records, shifts reports, downtime logs, and basic MISUse Excel or system tools to track production data and share reports with seniors.Ensure documentation is accurate and updated regularly.EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION’SDiploma/B.E/B.TechYears and Nature of Experience1-3 Years of experience in manufacturing /production environment
