We partner closely with families and their trusted advisers (tax lawyers, trustees, private bankers, external asset managers, wealth planners, and accountants) – never managing assets ourselves, but providing seamless, compliant insurance-based structures that integrate with existing plans.The RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting operations for our business, based in our office in GIFT City, India.In this full-time position, you will ensure the financial accuracy of our entities in Hong Kong, Singapore, and GIFT City. You will also assist with month, quarter, and year-end activities, audits, commission runs, and coordination with accounting service providers, playing a vital role in the precise financial operations that define 1291 Group. Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily bookkeeping and accounting records for our Hong Kong, Singapore, and GIFT City entities, including the efficient processing of accounts payable.Perform periodic accounting tasks, including cost allocations for group expenses and related-party reconciliations.Support quarterly and year-end closing activities to ensure timely, precise financial reporting.Assist with comprehensive audit preparation and facilitate yearly audits.Support end-to-end commission processes, from downloading and reviewing carrier statements to performing calculations and executing commission runs.Coordinate closely with GIFT City accounting service providers to ensure seamless and timely processing.Provide light administrative support for HR-related tasks as required. Ideal CandidateA bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within an international, financial services, or corporate environment.Working knowledge of Indian taxation.Experience with accounting systems; familiarity with Xero is highly preferred and considered a strong advantage.Strong organisational skills, meticulous accuracy, attention to detail, and a high level of reliability.Excellent written and spoken English, alongside strong interpersonal and communication skills.A calm, discreet, and professional demeanour suited to a high-trust environment serving high-net-worth families and their professional advisers.Based in or willing to relocate to the GIFT City/Gandhinagar area; this is primarily an office-based role. What We OfferA full-time position within a respected, independent global firm with a strong international footprint.Opportunity to develop within an expanding finance function that supports continued cross-border growth.Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.The chance to play a meaningful role in both global financial operations and the establishment of our presence in India’s premier international financial centre.You will join a close-knit team of professionals committed to discretion and precision.
