Role Overview The Cluster Manager – Solar O&M & Asset Management is a key member of the Asset Management team, responsible for end-to-end operational performance of solar power plants within the assigned Karnataka cluster. The role involves effective supervision of third-party O&M contractors to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations in line with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and company performance targets. The Cluster Manager is accountable for plant availability, generation performance, safety compliance, contractor governance, and continuous operational improvement across all sites in the region. Key Responsibilities - Plant Operations & Performance Management - Oversee daily operation of solar power plants in line with preventive maintenance schedules, breakdown maintenance, grid requirements, and PPA provisions. - Ensure high plant availability, inverter uptime, and optimal PR / CUF performance. - Monitor plant performance remotely through SCADA portals and CMMS platforms. - Analyse generation losses, outages, and recurring issues and drive corrective actions. O&M Contractor Management - Supervise and govern third-party O&M contractors across all assigned sites. - Verify adherence to scope of work, SLA commitments, manpower deployment, and safety practices. - Support contractor teams in troubleshooting operational and equipment-related issues. - Crosscheck daily, weekly, and monthly reports submitted by O&M contractors. - Conduct periodic site audits to ensure quality maintenance practices and statutory compliance. Maintenance & Reliability - Ensure timely execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities. - Assist in planning and review of annual maintenance schedules. - Verify proper upkeep of plant equipment including modules, inverters, transformers, HT/LT systems, switchgear, and protection systems. Safety & Compliance - Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including CEIG, DISCOM, KPTCL, and SLDC norms. - Enforce safety procedures and emergency response protocols at all sites. - Respond to plant emergencies as per approved emergency response plans. Coordination & Reporting - Coordinate with internal asset management teams, contractors, and external agencies. - Maintain accurate documentation, maintenance records, and CMMS updates. - Support management with operational data, reports, and performance reviews. Leadership & Team Coordination - Foster strong coordination between site engineers, contractors, and asset management teams. - Support training, guidance, and performance improvement of site personnel. - Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by GM – O&M & Asset Management based on business needs. Requirements Education- bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (B.E. / B.Tech – Electrical) Experience - 8–10 years of experience in power plant operations and maintenance - Solar power plant O&M experience preferred & Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing third-party O&M contractors Knowledge & Skills - Strong understanding of solar plant operations, maintenance, and performance metrics - Knowledge of SCADA systems, CMMS, Central Inverter and HT/LT systems - Ability to interpret contractual and SLA requirements related to O&M - Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites effectively - Good communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills - Ability to perform under pressure and respond to emergency situations when required Travel Requirement Willingness to travel extensively across project sites and corporate offices as required In Enfinity Global, you will find a very dynamic and multinational environment in one of the most exciting and impactful industries.
