JOB DESCRIPTION Assistant Manager / Senior Executive – Decal Printing Department:Manufacturing / Production| Specialization:Multi-Color (Up to 20 Colors) Helmet GraphicsRole Summary The Manager / Senior Executive – Decal Printing is responsible for managing end-to-end decal printing operations for complex multi-color (up to 20 colors) helmet graphics. This role ensures high quality, color accuracy, maximum productivity, and on-time delivery while leading a skilled team on the shop floor.Reporting To -Plant / Production Head Location -Manufacturing Plant Experience -5 – 10 Years Job Type -Full-Time / Permanent1. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Production Management Plan and execute daily and weekly production schedules. Handle multi-color (10–20 color) decal jobs efficiently. Ensure optimum machine utilization and minimize downtime. Coordinate production planning across different plants.B. Printing Process Control Supervise all critical printing processes: Screen preparation and exposure Ink mixing and shade matching Printing sequence (color-to-color alignment) Ensure proper execution of: Registration accuracy Layer thickness control Drying and curing processC. Color Management Achieve accurate Pantone and master sample matching. Control shade variation across production batches. Maintain standard ink recipes for brands such as Scopa, Sunny, EPTA, Sericol, etc.D. Quality Assurance Monitor and control defects including: Pinholes and bubbling Misregistration Ink spreading and smudging Peelable issues and butter paper marks Implement inline and final inspection systems. Ensure compliance with customer standards, especially for export brands.E. Material & Ink Control Monitor ink viscosity and thinner ratios. Assess decal paper surface energy compatibility. Coordinate with suppliers for material trials and process improvements.F. Team Management Lead, train, and develop: Machine operators Helpers Quality inspectors Build skill levels for handling complex 15–20 color jobs. Ensure discipline, safety, and productivity on the shop floor.G. Continuous Improvement Reduce rejection rates and rework through systematic analysis. Improve productivity (output per machine) and first-pass yield. Implement lean practices and kaizen initiatives.H. Documentation & Reporting Maintain production reports, rejection analysis logs, and ink consumption records. Update daily MIS boards, rejection trends, and operational dashboards.2. Required SkillsTechnical Skills Deep knowledge of screen printing processes (multi-color setups). Expertise in ink systems: solvent-based, peelable, UV, and specialty inks. Mastery of registration techniques for high-color-count jobs. Understanding of drying systems: IR, UV, and forced air. Knowledge of decal behavior and transfer mechanics on curved helmet surfaces.Managerial Skills Production planning and capacity management. Root cause analysis and systematic problem-solving. Team leadership, coaching, and performance management. Vendor coordination and supplier development.3. Special Focus — 20-Color JobsHandling 20-color decal jobs demands an elevated level of technical precision. The following areas require dedicated expertise:Focus Area Requirement Registration Control Perfect color-to-color alignment across all 20 layers without drift or cumulative error. Print Sequence Planning Strategic sequencing of colors to avoid contamination, trapping issues, and overprint complications. Controlled Drying Managed drying / curing between each layer to prevent smearing, blocking, and deformation.
