Power Electronics Engineer — Core Team (EV Startup) Location: On-site, New Delhi Employment Type: Full-time Compensation: ₹50,000–₹56,000 per month in-hand. Performance review post-MVP; ESOPs may be considered after external funding. About Us We are a young EV startup focused on integrating advanced energy systems into two-wheelers. The underlying technology is proven internationally, but has not been commercialized in India. Our goal is to design, prototype, and bring this innovation to market at scale. This is not a large corporate environment. We operate with limited resources, an early-stage setup, and a strong belief in solving difficult problems with determination. Role Overview As a Power Electronics Engineer, you will lead the design, implementation, and testing of a hybrid power subsystem for EV applications. Your work will directly shape the MVP prototype and future IP filings. Responsibilities • Design and validate high-power DC/DC - AC/DC converter stages for hybrid energy storage MOSFET and IGBT switching devices. • Develop and implement embedded control algorithms on MCUs (ARM Based). • Handle schematic, PCB layout, and component selection for power circuits. • Test and debug prototypes, including efficiency measurements and thermal performance. • Collaborate with associates and CAD designers to accelerate prototype iteration. • Maintain engineering logs and documentation for future patents and scale-up. Qualifications • B.E./B.Tech (EEE/ECE) or equivalent with 1–4 years of experience in power electronics. • Strong understanding of DC/DC conversion, BMS basics, switching devices, and control loops. • Hands-on experience building and testing converters (not just simulations). • Proficiency in embedded C/C++ for real-time control. • Familiarity with oscilloscopes, analyzers, and test setups for high-power systems. Preferred Experience • EV/traction systems, regenerative energy capture, or energy storage converters. Switching technology like MOSFET AND IGBT. • Knowledge of EMI/EMC mitigation, thermal management, and rapid prototyping. • Prior exposure to start-ups, Formula Student, or resource-constrained R&D projects.
