Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Navigation Engineer to join our team in developing cutting-edge autonomous vehicle systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in robotics, ROS2, sensor fusion, and navigation algorithms, with hands-on experience in implementing and optimizing Ros2 and Auto ware-based solutions. This role involves designing, developing, and integrating navigation systems to enable safe and efficient operation of autonomous vehicles in complex environments. Requirements: Extensive experience with Navigation Path Planning, Motion Planning, Sensor fusion, SLAM algorithms techniques Proficiency in working with LiDAR, camera, radar, and IMU sensors Hands-on experience with Auto ware and ROS2 Familiarity with Machine/Deep learning frameworks Experience with real-time systems and embedded software development Strong mathematical background in linear algebra, probability theory, and optimization Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3-8 years of experience in autonomous navigation or robotics development. Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Python, with a focus on ROS2 development. Key Skills C++, Motion planning, SLAM, Dynamic obstacles, Model Predictive Control, Path Planning, ROS2, Autoware, Python, Machine learning Roles & Responsibilities Design and implement advanced navigation algorithms, including path planning, localization, and mapping. Develop and optimize motion planning systems for dynamic obstacle avoidance and trajectory generation. Integrate semantic understanding of environments into navigation systems for enhanced decision-making Strong knowledge of localization techniques, including SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) and GNSS-aided navigation Proficiency in state estimation methods such as Kalman Filters (KF), Extended Kalman Filters (EKF), and Particle Filters. Implement real-time sensor fusion techniques to ensure robust perception in dynamic environments. Configure and customize Autoware modules for specific vehicle platforms. Optimize Autoware's planning and control algorithms for real-world application Conduct simulations and real-world tests to validate navigation algorithms under various conditions. Experience with simulation tools like AWSIM, Gazebo or CARLA for testing navigation systems. Work closely with cross-functional teams (perception, control, hardware) to ensure system-level integration Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building a high-performing team. Maintain detailed technical documentation of algorithms, software architecture, test results, and system configurations.
