Job Title: Compliance Manager – Affordable Housing (Remote)We are looking for a Compliance Manager to oversee regulatory compliance for affordable housing projects across California. The portfolio includes projects funded through agencies such as CalHFA, HCD, county housing authorities, and other public financing programs.The ideal candidate should have strong experience managing affordable housing compliance across multifamily portfolios and coordinating with property management teams, investors, government agencies, and auditors.Key Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with:CTCAC (California Tax Credit Allocation Committee)HUD affordable housing programsCalHFA regulatory requirementsCalifornia Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD)County and local housing authority regulationsBond financing and tax-exempt bond requirementsRegulatory agreements, loan covenants, and affordability restrictionsMonitor project compliance calendars and reporting deadlines.Interpret and implement federal, state, and local affordable housing regulations.Maintain compliance for LIHTC, HOME, Section 8, project-based vouchers, and other subsidy programs.Respond to notices of noncompliance and corrective action requests.Portfolio Monitoring:Conduct periodic internal compliance audits across properties.Monitor affordability restrictions and unit set-asides.Ensure projects remain within regulatory rent and income limits.Track compliance periods and extended-use requirements.Review management company practices for regulatory adherence.Candidate Requirements:Prior experience in a California affordable housing compliance role is mandatory.Strong understanding of LIHTC projects and affordable housing regulations.Experience handling multifamily affordable housing portfolios preferred.Work Schedule:This is a remote role based in India, working in U.S. time zones from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM IST.
