Compliance Officer (REMOTE) – Law Firm | DubaiAbout the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Officer to join our legal practice in Dubai. The role focuses on ensuring full compliance with applicable UAE regulations, AML/CTF requirements, and internal policies, while supporting the firm’s risk management and regulatory obligations.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and verify KYC/AML documentation for new and existing clients, ensuring completeness and regulatory complianceConduct client due diligence (CDD) and ongoing monitoring in line with UAE AML/CTF regulationsPerform sanctions screening, PEP checks, and adverse media checks using relevant local and international databasesMonitor client activities and transactions to identify suspicious or unusual behavior, and escalate where requiredAssist in maintaining and updating the firm’s Compliance Monitoring ProgramPrepare regular compliance and AML reports for management and relevant authoritiesHandle and track client compliance-related inquiries and complaints, escalating when necessaryEnsure adherence to all internal compliance policies (AML, Sanctions, Risk, Staff Conduct, etc.)Support internal audits and regulatory inspectionsEnsure timely completion of mandatory AML/CTF trainings and assist in internal awareness initiativesRespond promptly to AML, CTF, and sanctions-related queriesRequirementsBachelor’s degree Experience in compliance, AML, or risk Basic understanding of UAE AML/CTF regulations and international compliance standardsStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh level of attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyStrong sense of responsibility, integrity, and professionalismTeam player with the ability to escalate complex matters appropriatelyWhat We OfferOpportunity to work within a professional legal environment in DubaiExposure to regulatory, AML, and compliance frameworks in a law firm settingCareer growth within compliance and legal operationsApplication Note: Due to the high volume of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.Test work will be given to shortlisted candidates.
