MYP Biology

Key responsibilities- Instruction: Deliver engaging and effective biology lessons to secondary students, using a variety of teaching methodologies to cater to diverse learning styles. - Curriculum: Develop and implement curriculum aligned with IB MYP standards. - Assessment: Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments, and provide constructive feedback. - Skills Development: Promote scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and a passion for the natural world. - Collaboration: Work with other science teachers and departments to enhance curriculum and teaching methods. - Communication: Maintain clear and positive communication with students, parents, and the wider school community.Qualifications- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology or a related field. - Experience: Previous experience teaching MYP and/or DP Science is often preferred. - Skills: Strong communication and classroom management skills. - Knowledge: A strong understanding of the IB MYP framework and its assessment practices is essential. - Mindset: A commitment to student learning and development, with a collaborative and positive attitude.Desired attributes- A passion for science education - Ability to create an inquiry-driven and student-centered learning environment - Strong interpersonal and organizational skills - A growth mindset
