For two decades, Vedanta has been contributing significantly to nation building, developing native capabilities, and fostering self-reliance.To partner with us in this exciting journey and unlock new values for the business, we are looking for passionate professionals for the position of Head Metal/Smelter Finance, Vedanta JharsugudaRoles & ResponsibilitiesCost Control & Efficiency: Control production and operating costs within budget by driving efficiency gains, process improvements, strategic raw material sourcing, and optimization of logistics and inland transportation to reduce overall unit costs.Finance Transformation & Team Leadership: Build a lean, high‑impact finance team enabled by automation and streamlined processes to drive productivity and strategic value.Lead the digital transformation of finance by automating transactional and reporting processes.Improve team productivity by building capabilities, driving accountability, and fostering a performance‑oriented, collaborative finance culture.Risk Management & Resilience: Assess risks from commodity price volatility, regulatory changes, and supply disruptions.Oversee cash flow, working capital, and liquidity planning to ensure financial resilience and agility.Performance Tracking & Analysis: Track key KPIs & KRAs for financial and operational performance.Drive improvement initiatives through analysis, predictive financial modelling, and benchmarking.Translate operational realities into financial implications to communicate a clear financial narrative for the metal business.Education Qualification | Work-Ex| Desired AttributesCA with 8+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry.Strong execution focus, driving results through prioritization, planning, resource alignment, and cross‑functional collaboration, supported by solid business acumen.Expert in financial evaluation of business proposals with advanced knowledge of management accounting principles, tools, and techniques.Strategic thinker, capable of defining and communicating a long‑term vision aligned to business objectives.Leads digital finance initiatives, leveraging automation, analytics, and ERP-enabled solutions to improve efficiency, insight quality, and decision speed.More than 60% across education background (10th, 12th, Grad if any)What we’ll offer you:Outstanding remuneration and best-in-class rewardsGlobally benchmarked people-policies with the best in class-facilitiesEverything we do is shaped by the Vedanta Values of Trust, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Excellence, Integrity, Care, and Respect.
