Legal Officer

Job Description Legal Officer Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Location: Kochi, Work From Office Job Summary As a Legal Officer for Remitap, you will play a crucial role to manage and oversee the company’s legal matters. The role involves providing legal guidance, ensuring regulatory compliance, mitigating risk, and supporting business operations through contract management and dispute resolution. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of corporate law, excellent analytical skills, and experience in drafting and reviewing contracts, policies, and agreements. Key Responsibilities 1.     Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, NDAs, and other legal documents. 2.     Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. 3.     Provide legal advice to management and internal teams on operational, commercial, and regulatory matters. 4.     Assist in dispute resolution, litigation management, and coordination with external counsel. 5.     Conduct legal due diligence for partnerships, investments, or corporate transactions. 6.     Develop and maintain internal policies, compliance frameworks, and risk mitigation strategies. 7.     Liaise with regulators, government authorities, and external legal advisors as needed. 8.     Represent the company in courts, tribunals, or legal proceedings as required. Qualifications & Experience •     Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); LLM preferred. •     0-2years of experience in legal advisory practice, in-house legal teams, or law firms, with strong knowledge of company laws, financial laws, regulatory laws and compliance. •     Experience in drafting and negotiating contracts. •     Exposure to corporate governance, risk management, and dispute resolution. •     Proven track record in representing the organization in courts, tribunals, or other legal proceedings, while providing in-house legal advisory and managing corporate compliance initiatives.
