Performance Engineer (Contractor) - Oracle Customer-to-Meter (C2M) Performance Testing – LoadRunnerLocation: RemoteDuration: at least 6 monthsAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Performance Engineer Contractor to support our Oracle Customer-to-Meter (C2M) implementation. The engineer will execute performance testing initiatives using LoadRunner to validate application scalability, reliability, and stability across applicable high-volume utility processes including account management, billing, payments, metering, device management, batch operations, etc.This role requires hands-on expertise with LoadRunner, strong analytical skills, and deep familiarity with Oracle C2M/CC&B, infrastructure, and Oracle database performance diagnostics. Required Qualifications7+ years of hands-on Performance Engineering experience.Strong expertise with LoadRunner (HTTP/HTML, TruClient, Web Services/REST, etc.)Deep knowledge of Oracle C2M, CC&B, or related Oracle Utilities applications.Familiarity with SQL tuning and experience with Oracle analysis.Hands-on experience with WebLogic/JVM performance, service integrations, and distributed systems.Understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, performance test governance, and enterprise environments. Main Responsibilities Key ResponsibilitiesPerformance Test Planning & DesignDevelop and execute the Performance Test Strategy and Plan for Oracle C2M, including load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests.Identify performance-critical workflows across Oracle C2M System, batch processing, and system integrations.Define workload models, concurrency levels, and transaction mixes based on production usage patterns.LoadRunner Scripting & Scenario DevelopmentBuild and maintain high-quality VuGen scripts for UI, API, and batch workloads using LoadRunner protocols.Implement parameterization, correlation, dynamic data handling, and custom validations for C2M transactions.Design LoadRunner scenarios that simulate multi-user activity and peak system conditions.Environment & Data ReadinessWork with infrastructure teams to ensure performance environments, batch servers, web/app servers, and Oracle DBs are properly configured.Coordinate performance test data creation and ensure adequate transaction volumes for realistic simulation.Execution & MonitoringExecute performance, stress, and endurance tests using LoadRunner Controller/LoadRunner Enterprise.Monitor application, infrastructure, and database performanceCapture performance behavior across C2M batch jobs and integrations.Analysis & OptimizationDiagnose bottlenecks related to application code, SQL queries, batch processes, integrations, or infrastructure constraints.Provide detailed recommendations for performance tuning and scaling across application tiers.Reporting & Stakeholder CommunicationDeliver comprehensive performance test reports, including findings, capacity insights, and remediation recommendations.Present results to project leadership, architects, QA, development, and infrastructure teams.
