About bepaybepay is building the next-generation self-custody payment infrastructure that unifies fiat and stablecoin rails into one seamless, global payment layer. Our platform enables users and merchants to transact across UPI, cards, IBAN accounts, stablecoins, and multi-chain wallets — delivering secure, compliant, and scalable cross-border payments.About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Technical Lead to drive the design, development, and scalability of bepay’s cross-border payment systems and self-custody payment infrastructure. You will lead engineering efforts across backend and blockchain components, work closely with product and compliance teams, and ensure that our payment flows are secure, performant, and production-ready.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the architecture and development of cross-border payment systems and settlement flowsDesign and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for payments, wallets, and merchant systemsDrive integration with payment rails, PSPs, payment gateways, and settlement partnersLead development and integration of blockchain components, including wallets, smart contracts, and transaction flowsEnsure secure handling of transactions, keys, data, and payment workflowsCollaborate with product, compliance, and operations teams to build compliant payment solutionsReview code, enforce best practices, and maintain high engineering standardsMentor engineers and guide technical decision-making across teamsOwn performance, reliability, and scalability of payment and blockchain systemsSupport production deployments, monitoring, and incident resolutionRequirements7+ years of overall software engineering experienceStrong experience building cross-border payment systems (preferred) or payment platformsProven background in payments infrastructure (settlements, payouts, reconciliation, transaction flows)Hands-on experience with blockchain technologies — wallets, smart contracts, transaction processing, or Web3 integrationsStrong backend expertise in Node.js / TypeScript or equivalent backend stacksExperience designing microservices, event-driven systems, and high-throughput APIsUnderstanding of security, encryption, and key management in payment or blockchain systemsExperience working in fintech environments with regulatory and compliance considerationsStrong leadership, ownership mindset, and ability to guide technical teamsNice to HaveExperience with stablecoins, on/off-ramps, or crypto-fiat bridgesExposure to Layer-2 networks, multi-chain architectures, or blockchain scalability solutionsFamiliarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), Docker, KubernetesExperience collaborating with compliance, risk, and operations teamsTo ApplySend your resume and relevant project details to with the subject line: “Application – Tech Lead”
