Role Description We are seeking a PDF Remediation Specialist for a remote, contract role. The specialist will be responsible for making PDF documents accessible in compliance with ADA, WCAG, and Section 508 standards. Day-to-day tasks include editing and tagging documents, adding accessibility features, ensuring proper structure for screen reader compatibility, and performing quality assurance checks. This role requires expertise in accessibility standards and a strong attention to detail. Qualifications Proficiency in PDF remediation, including tagging, error correction, and structure accessibility alignmentFamiliarity with ADA, WCAG, and Section 508 accessibility compliance standardsExperience with tools such as Adobe Acrobat Pro, CommonLook, and other industry-standard accessibility softwareStrong attention to detail, documentation, and proofreading skillsAbility to work independently in a remote environment and effectively manage deadlinesExperience in educational content accessibility or familiarity with assistive technology is a plusBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field is preferred but not mandatory
