Instead, the successful candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing technical insight, industry knowledge, and advisory support to the project team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience within a bank’s custody and securities services function and strong understanding of operating models, controls, and risk frameworks.Requirements10–15 years of experience within Custody Operations / Securities Services in a banking environment.Strong technical knowledge of:Custody operations workflowsSecurities processingCorporate actionsReconciliations and settlementsDeep understanding of:Process design and optimizationControls and governance frameworksOperational risk managementExperience with bank operating models, including nearshore/offshore structures.Prior experience leading custody and securities services operations for a bank is highly desirable Strong stakeholder engagement and advisory skills.Ability to operate independently in a consulting/project environmentKey ResponsibilitiesSubject Matter ExpertiseProvide deep technical expertise in:Custody operationsSecurities services operationsAsset servicing processesTrade lifecycle managementAdvise on best practices across operational models and service delivery frameworks.Support gap assessments, operating model reviews, and process evaluations.Operations & Operating Model AdvisoryProvide insight into how banks structure custody operations, including:Onshore modelsNearshore/offshore operating modelsShared service centre structuresAssess operational efficiency, scalability, and control effectiveness.Support design of target operating models (TOM).Process, Controls & GovernanceEvaluate existing operational processes and control frameworks.Identify control gaps and recommend remediation strategies.Advise on governance structures within custody and securities services functions.Ensure alignment with industry standards and regulatory expectations.Operational Risk AdvisoryProvide expertise on operational risk management frameworks within custody operations.Support risk assessments and control testing initiatives.Advise on incident management, root cause analysis, and risk mitigation practices.Project SupportCollaborate closely with the project delivery team to:Provide technical input into client discussionsReview documentation and analysisContribute to workshops and stakeholder sessionsTranslate industry experience into practical, actionable recommendations.Key CompetenciesDeep technical subject matter expertiseStrong analytical and advisory capabilityStructured thinking and problem-solvingOperational risk awarenessWHAT’S ON OFFERYou will be remunerated with an excellent base salary and entitled to attractive company benefits.
