Structural PEB Designer

Job Purpose The Structural PEB Designer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and detailing pre-engineered steel buildings and associated structures in compliance with relevant design codes, customer specifications, and internal quality standards. Key Responsibilities Design & Engineering Design and analyze PEB structures includingprimary frames, secondary members, bracings, mezzanines, crane beams, and connections . Prepare structural calculations and design reports usingSTAAD, ETABS, MBS, or similar PEB software . Optimize steel tonnage while ensuring safety, functionality, and code compliance. Ensure designs conform toIS 800, IS 875, IS 1893, AISC, MBMA , and other applicable codes. Design structures for wind, seismic, crane loads, and other project-specific load combinations. Detailing & Drawings Coordinate with detailing teams to generateGA drawings, fabrication drawings, and erection drawings . Review and approve drawings for accuracy and constructability. Support preparation ofshop drawings and BOMs . Client & Cross-Functional Coordination Clarify technical requirements withclients, consultants, and architects . Provide technical support tosales, tendering, production, and erection teams . Address RFIs and implement design changes as per client feedback. Quality, Cost & Timeline Control Ensure adherence to internal design standards and QA/QC procedures. Support value engineering initiatives to reduce cost and improve project efficiency. Meet project timelines and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Site & Project Support Provide engineering support during fabrication and site erection stages. Resolve site-related technical issues and design modifications. Required Skills & Competencies Technical Skills Strong knowledge ofPEB structural systems and steel design principles . Proficiency inSTAAD Pro / ETABS / SAP2000 / PEB-specific software (MBS, Zamil, Kirby, etc.) . Good understanding ofconnection design and foundation load coordination . Familiarity withTekla Structures / AutoCADfor drawing review and coordination. Behavioral Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and coordination abilities. Ability to work independently and lead junior designers. High attention to detail and quality orientation. Educational Qualification B.E. / B.Tech in Civil or Structural Engineering M.E. / M.Tech in Structural Engineering (preferred) Experience Requirement 5–8 years of hands-on experienceinPEB design and steel structures .
