The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with structured datasets, ensuring data accuracy, and delivering insights that drive business decisions.This freelance opportunity is ideal for professionals comfortable working in a night-shift overlap with IST hours and capable of independently managing data-driven tasks.Key ResponsibilitiesWrite, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.Perform data cleaning, transformation, and aggregation using SQL.Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.Conduct data validation and quality checks to ensure data integrity and consistency.Work with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver analytical solutions.Support reporting needs by preparing datasets for dashboards and BI tools.Identify data discrepancies and troubleshoot data-related issues.Ensure efficient query performance and database optimization.Document SQL logic, data flows, and analytical processes.Required Skills & Qualifications6+ years of experience in data analytics or SQL-focused roles.Strong hands-on expertise in SQL (Joins, Subqueries, CTEs, Window Functions, Query Optimization).Experience working with relational databases and the ability to understand business logic.Solid understanding of data validation, data cleaning, and quality assurance practices.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Advanced Formulas, Data Analysis).Ability to work with large datasets and deliver insights independently.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Good communication skills for stakeholder interaction.Good to HaveExposure to BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts.Experience with ETL processes.
