Job responsibilities:Strategic Sourcing for Test Equipment:- Partner with engineering, operations, R&D and finance teams to define technical and commercial requirements for semiconductor equipment procurement. - Identify and evaluate global suppliers for semiconductor assembly, test, and fabrication equipment. - Develop sourcing strategies, including RFQ/RFP processes, supplier benchmarking, and total cost of ownership (TCOO) analysis. - Strategic sourcing ensures that an organization acquires reliable, cost-effective, compliant, and scalable test equipment to support R&D, validation, and production testingTechnical specifications- Bandwidth, accuracy, resolution - Voltage/current ranges - Sampling rate, power rating - Fixture compatibilitySupplier Identification & Evaluation- Identify and evaluate global and local suppliers. - Brand analysis (Keysight, Exis Tech, Nor Tech, Aemulus, Nortech and SRM) - Supplier capability & reliability - Lead time & delivery performance - Global vs. local sourcing options - Service center availability - Supplier financial stability - Customer references and past performanceTechnical & Commercial Comparison (Techno-Commercial Evaluation)- Performance metrics - Accuracy and measurement consistency - Compatibility with existing systems - Automation/APIs availabilitySupplier & Stakeholder Management:- Build and maintain strong relationships with key equipment suppliers. - Conduct supplier risk assessments (financial, geopolitical, supply chain resilience). - Work closely with legal and finance teams to ensure compliance with contracts and procurement policies.Commercial- Equipment cost (CAPEX) - Total cost of ownership (TCO) - Warranty and service cost - Annual maintenance and calibration - Operating cost (energy consumption, spares) - Training cost for teamProject & Delivery Management:- Ensure on-time delivery of equipment to meet ramp-up schedules. - Monitor supplier performance (quality, delivery, service) and drive continuous improvement. - Resolve commercial disputes and supply chain bottlenecks affecting equipment procurement.Technical Performance & CapabilitySupports required test coverage (parametric, functional, ICT, FCT, RF, power, etc.)High measurement accuracy, resolution, and repeatabilityAbility to handle required device/package types (QFN, BGA, SOP, custom modules)Multi-site or parallel testing capability (improves throughput)High-speed digital/analog test capabilityDevice Handling Capability (for Handlers)Supports tray, tube, tape‑and‑reel, or bowl feeder based on production needsPrecise pick‑and‑place mechanicsControlled temperature testing (Hot/Cold – e.g., -40°C to +150°C)Minimal device damage / ESD-safe handlingHigh MTBA (Mean Time Between Assist) and low jam ratesFlexible conversion kits for different device sizesThroughput & Cycle TimeMeets takt time / production output requirementsFast index time and minimal overhead timeOptimized parallel testing efficiencyHigh uptime and low maintenance interruptionsTotal Cost of Ownership (TCO)CAPEX of tester + handler + fixtures + load boardsCost of consumables (sockets, contactors, kits)Software licensing feesCalibration and annual maintenanceEquipment uptime vs operational costTrade-off between multi-site capability and costQualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Semiconductor)Experience: 8-15 years of experience in Semiconductor Industries or supply chain management, preferably in EMS.
