Building Engineer

Key Responsibilities: Construction & Finishing Works: • Supervise and execute civil construction and finishing activities (masonry, plastering, flooring, painting, false ceiling, joinery, etc.). • Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. • Monitor contractor performance and progress against project timelines. • Coordinate with architects, consultants, and contractors for smooth execution. General Building Maintenance: • Carry out routine inspection, preventive and corrective maintenance of institutional buildings. • Diagnose and resolve building-related issues such as structural repairs, leakages, flooring damage, cracks, and plaster deterioration & MEP etc. • Maintain records of maintenance schedules and completed works. Coordination & Reporting: • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external contractors/vendors for material, manpower, and timely execution. • Prepare daily/weekly progress reports, maintenance logs, and update management on status.Quality & Safety Assurance: • Always ensure adherence to quality control procedures and safety standards • Implement corrective measures for defects and follow up until closure. Key Skills & Competencies: • Strong knowledge of civil engineering, finishing works, and building maintenance. • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. • Familiarity with construction safety and quality standards. • Strong communication and coordination skills.
