Job Summary The Assistant Manager - Inbound is responsible for managing and overseeing all inbound logistics activities, including receiving, inspecting, and stocking of goods. This role ensures efficient handling of incoming shipments while maintaining inventory accuracy and warehouse organization. The ideal candidate will have strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate the receipt of incoming shipments, ensuring proper documentation and quality checks. Verify goods against purchase orders, invoices, and packing lists to ensure accuracy. Perform quality inspections on received goods and report any discrepancies or damages. Ensure compliance with warehouse policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures. Manage proper storage of goods to maximize space utilization and minimize damage. Maintain accurate records of inbound inventory transactions in the (WMS). Coordinate with procurement, suppliers, and transport teams for timely and efficient inbound logistics. Assist in inventory audits and cycle counting to ensure stock accuracy. Supervise unloading activities, ensuring efficient and safe handling of goods. Train and guide warehouse associates on inbound processes and safety protocols. Collaborate with the operations team to improve efficiency in inbound processes. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in inbound logistics. Strong knowledge of inventory management and warehouse procedures. Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines. Good communication and coordination skills. Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in warehouse management. Physical ability to lift and move goods as needed. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the warehousing and supply chain, similar industry preferred. Familiarity with ERP systems and automated warehouse processes. Certifications in warehouse management or logistics. Work Environment: Warehouse setting with exposure to physical work. Requires flexibility in working hours, including weekends or overtime during peak seasons. Interaction with multiple departments, including procurement, sales, and finance teams.
