About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Medical Coding Manager to oversee our medical coding operations and ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in coding practices. The role involves supervising a team of coders, ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations, driving productivity, and supporting revenue cycle management. Responsibilities: Manage and lead the medical coding team to achieve quality and productivity targets. Review, audit, and validate coding accuracy for ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes. Ensure compliance with industry standards, payer guidelines, and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, CMS, etc.). Provide training, mentoring, and performance feedback to coding staff. Monitor workflow, allocate resources, and resolve coding-related issues. Collaborate with billing, AR, and compliance teams to support the revenue cycle. Conduct regular internal audits and implement corrective actions where needed. Stay updated on coding guidelines, regulatory changes, and payer-specific requirements. Prepare reports on team performance, error rates, and productivity metrics for management. Handle escalations and act as a subject matter expert for coding-related queries. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or equivalent (preferred). Certification in medical coding (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) is mandatory. Minimum 5–8 years of experience in medical coding with at least 2–3 years in a managerial/supervisory role. Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and payer guidelines. Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in medical coding software and EHR systems.
