Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities- Develop and create innovative mechanical concepts and designs based on client requirements, technical specifications, and industry standards. - Lead the concept design phase, transforming ideas and rough sketches into detailed 3D models using CAD software (e.g., Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD). - Conduct feasibility studies, including stress analysis, material selection, and cost estimation, to ensure designs are viable and meet project goals. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, production, and quality control, to ensure designs are practical and efficiently produced. - Generate detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly processes. - Perform design reviews, assess potential design risks, and implement necessary improvements. - Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to ensure designs are cutting-edge and competitive. - Provide technical support during the prototype development phase and participate in testing and validation of new designs. - Prepare and present design proposals and reports to stakeholders, including clients and management.Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Required Skills- 5-12 years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong emphasis on concept design. - Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Solid Edge. - Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes. - Experience in performing FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and other simulation techniques to validate designs. - Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all design work. - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex design concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Preferred Skills- Experience in the textile machinery industry is a plus. - Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
