Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities Develop and create innovative mechanical concepts and designs based on client requirements, technical specifications, and industry standards. Lead the concept design phase, transforming ideas and rough sketches into detailed 3D models using CAD software (e.g., Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD). Conduct feasibility studies, including stress analysis, material selection, and cost estimation, to ensure designs are viable and meet project goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, production, and quality control, to ensure designs are practical and efficiently produced. Generate detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly processes. Perform design reviews, assess potential design risks, and implement necessary improvements. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to ensure designs are cutting-edge and competitive. Provide technical support during the prototype development phase and participate in testing and validation of new designs. Prepare and present design proposals and reports to stakeholders, including clients and management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Required Skills 5-12 years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong emphasis on concept design. Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Solid Edge. Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes. Experience in performing FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and other simulation techniques to validate designs. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all design work. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex design concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Skills Experience in the textile machinery industry is a plus. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
