Student Counsellor

Key Responsibilities:- Advise students on study abroad options, helping them identify programs that align with their academic, professional, and personal goals. - Guide students through the application process, including selecting courses, completing paperwork, and meeting deadlines. - Assist students with visa applications, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities. - Provide pre-departure orientation sessions, preparing students for cultural adjustment, safety, and health while abroad. - Stay up to date with the latest international education programs, policies, and trends. - Establish and maintain relationships with partner universities, agencies, and educational organizations globally. - Offer continuous support to students while abroad, helping to address any issues or concerns that may arise during their stay. - Collaborate with faculty and staff to promote study abroad programs within the institution. - Maintain accurate records of student applications and correspondence.Required Qualifications:- A Bachelor's degree (preferably in Education, International Relations, or a related field). - Minimum of 3 years of experience in a study abroad counseling or international education role. - Strong knowledge of international study opportunities, visa processes, and academic requirements for various countries. - Excellent communication skills and ability to work with students from diverse cultural backgrounds. - Proven ability to build relationships with universities, vendors, and other stakeholders. - Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple students and deadlines. - Passion for helping students experience the world and succeed academically in an international environment.Preferred Qualifications:- Experience studying or living abroad. - Proficiency in a second language is a plus. - Knowledge of specific regions or countries and their academic systems. - Familiarity with CRM systems or student databases.
