Job Description Posting Title: Medical Officer Industry: Hospital Salary: ₹55K to ₹605K Work Experience: 3+ years Responsibilities: Provide immediate and comprehensive medical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients in emergency and critical care settings. Manage life-threatening conditions including cardiac arrest, trauma, sepsis, and respiratory failure in the ICU and emergency department. Perform advanced procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and invasive monitoring under high-pressure conditions. Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and support staff to ensure timely and coordinated patient care. Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards. Participate in on-call rotations and emergency response drills to ensure readiness for critical incidents. Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary in consultation with senior physicians. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits related to emergency and ICU care. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior medical staff and interns during clinical shifts. Requirements: MBBS degree with valid registration from the National Medical Commission (NMC). Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification clinical experience in emergency medicine and intensive care. Proven expertise in managing critical care patients, including mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and resuscitation protocols. Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is mandatory. Strong clinical decision-making skills with the ability to perform under stress and in time-sensitive situations. Proficiency in using ICU equipment, including ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Familiarity with hospital information systems (HIS) and electronic medical records (EMR) platforms. Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call duties as required.
