Job Title: Freight Forwarding Executive / Manager Location:Chennai Department:Logistics / Freight ForwardingJob Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Freight Forwarding professional to manage end-to-end logistics operations including import/export documentation, coordination with shipping lines, customs, and clients. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in sea and air freight processes, shipment tracking, and documentation compliance.Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and handleexport and import shipments(Sea / Air / Road). Prepare and verifyshipping and customs documentation— Bill of Lading, Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, etc. Liaise withshipping lines, airlines, transporters, and customs brokersfor smooth cargo movement. Monitorfreight rates, schedules, and transit timesto ensure cost-effective and timely delivery. Track shipments and update clients on status; resolve issues or delays proactively. Ensurecompliance with international trade regulationsand internal company policies. Maintain accurate records of shipments, quotations, and vendor communications. Negotiate freight rates and coordinate with overseas agents for routing and pricing. Assist inbilling, costing, and profit margin analysisfor each shipment. Handle customer queries and provide excellent service support.Qualifications & Skills: Graduate / Diploma inLogistics, Supply Chain, or International Business . Minimum3–5 yearsof experience in Freight Forwarding (Sea / Air). Strong knowledge ofexport-import procedures, INCO terms, and customs clearance . Proficient inMS Office and ERP systems(experience with SAP or similar software preferred). Excellentcommunication and negotiation skills . Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines under pressure.Preferred Experience: Experience working withCHA, shipping lines, and freight agents . Familiarity withNVOCC operations .
