Automotive Class A surface Development

Job Title - Electronic Math Modeler – Class A Surface DevelopmentJD: We are looking for dynamic & self-motivated individuals with experience inAutomotive Class A surface developmentwith very keen interest inAI-driven design tools.• Preferred 8+ years ofAutomotive Class A surface development experience in ICEM Surf and / or Alias . • Needs to be experienced with either Interior or Exteriors (Experience in Seats, interior components will be added advantage) • Deliver Class A surfaces with the required quality levels while meeting all program timing requirements. • Good knowledge of the surface development process with an excellent understanding of automotive aesthetics and design details. • Excellent ability to understand the design & engineering requirements and must be able to deliver quality surface data from various Studio inputs with minimal iterations (i.e. Designer sketches, scan data, sections & verbal directions). • Interpret 2D sketches and renderings into 3D surfaces. • Good Skills in reading / interpreting highlights & light flow to ascertain surface behavior. • Should have keen interest in AI-driven design tools. • Experience in Dynamo and Grasshopper for parametric and generative design is highly desirable. • Should have hands on experience working with studio designers and engineers to deliver production quality Class A surface data. • Good knowledge of material properties and manufacturing processes. • Excellent communication skills. • Good analytical and interpersonal skills. • Keen observer, detail oriented, and a hunger for perfection. • Great team player with an attitude towards learning new things. • Candidates who have additional knowledge of 3DX, CATIA v5, Alias Sub D, Dynamo, Grasshopper will be preferred. • Must pass an interview CAD test to ensure proficiency.Educational Qualification: • B.E. / B. Tech / M.E./ M. Tech/ MS /M Des in Mechanical, Automotive, Industrial Design/ Product Design.Other Requirements: • Ready to move to Chennai. • Must have a flexible work schedule and be willing to interface daily with the North American Design team based in Dearborn, MI, U.S.A. • Should be flexible with work timings based on project requirements. • Should be flexible to work in different roles in the team as per project requirements.interested candidates, apply & share profile tovenkateshp@
