Role: Blue Yonder Dispatcher WMS Engineer Location: Chennai Hire Type: ContractDescription: As a Senior BY Dispatcher WMS Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our warehouse operations, playing a pivotal role in optimizing our warehouse management system for efficiency and accuracy. Leveraging your deep expertise in WMS systems, you will design, build implement, and continuously enhance our systems to ensure seamless coordination of inbound and outbound logistics. Your responsibilities will include configuring WMS, overseeing system integration, monitoring real-time data flows, and troubleshooting any issues to maintain uninterrupted operations. Your role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong problem-solving mindset, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance warehouse productivity and meet customer demands. Join us in revolutionizing our warehouse operations and contributing to our organization's growth and success.Your responsibilities: · Assessing client business requirements and opportunities · Leading design, configuration, and implementation of JDA Warehouse Management Systems · Analyzing and optimizing components of the solution to take advantage of best practices. · Work with all appropriate parties to effectively estimate project timelines and deliverables. · Recognizing and highlighting incremental improvement opportunities with existing clients · Writing functional specifications for modification, interface, report, and label requirements · Authoring and/or reviewing system and procedural documentation throughout the project. · Design and Development of configuration changes over BY WMS system as per requirement. · Engineer software changes (new features) to satisfy customer requirements. · Engineer fixes to resolve software defects. · Design technical solutions based on customer specification document. · Create and execute test plans to verify software quality. Document test results. · Provide regular updates on progress to lead engineer and/or project manager. · Contribute in daily stand-up meetings with project teams. · CI/CD Jenkins and Pipeline management of the BY WMS is most welcomeEssential skills/knowledge/experience: · Configure and optimize BY/JDA WMS Dispatcher components using strong product knowledge, industry best practices, and performance-enhancement techniques. · Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Blue Yonder (JDA) Warehouse Management System (WMS) solutions based on client business requirements. · Engineer new features and system enhancements to meet evolving customer needs, including design and development of configuration changes within the WMS. · Upgrade WMS Dispatcher to the latest versions (2024 and above) and ensure compatibility, stability, and optimal performance post-upgrade. · Analyze and optimize WMS components to improve efficiency, reliability, and operational performance. · Develop technical solutions based on functional and customer specification documents, ensuring alignment with business goals. · Write comprehensive functional specifications for system modifications, interfaces, reports, and label requirements. · Develop and deliver defect fixes in a timely manner, ensuring minimal business disruption. · Create and execute detailed test plans, thoroughly document results, and ensure high-quality software delivery. · Contribute actively to project ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, cross-functional discussions, and design reviews. · Provide regular progress updates to lead engineers, project managers, and key stakeholders. · Assess client business needs, identify improvement opportunities, and propose effective solutions to enhance customer value. · Estimate project timelines, deliverables, and resource requirements in collaboration with project stakeholders. · Recognize and highlight continuous improvement and value-add opportunities for existing clients. · Author and review system documentation and procedural guides throughout the project lifecycle to ensure knowledge continuity and clarity. · Utilize strong PL/SQL and Shell scripting expertise to support system configuration, automation, and troubleshooting. · Engineer and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to streamline deployment and improve delivery efficiency (preferred). · Azure Cloud Technology knowledge · React JS, Java, Python experience. · Power BI and JasperSoft Reports development. · Warehouse Automation Experience such as SSI, Dematic, Beumer, KNAPP · CI/CD Jenkins and Pipeline management of the BY WMS is most welcome. · Experience in any other WMS like BY WMS Cognitive, Manhattan, Oracle
