Head of Modern Trade

Company Overview:Nabati Food is a fast-growing FMCG food company with a strong regional and international presence. As we continue to strengthen our footprint in India, we are looking for a Head of Modern Trade to lead and accelerate our Modern Trade business across key national and regional accounts.As Head of Modern Trade, you will own the Modern Trade channel end-to-end, driving sales growth, building strong partnerships with key customers, and ensuring excellent in-store execution. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable and profitable growth in line with Nabati Food’s expansion strategy in India.Key Responsibilities- Lead and grow Modern Trade business across national and regional modern trade chains. - Develop and execute channel strategy, annual business plans, and sales forecasts. - Manage key customer relationships, including negotiations on commercials, promotions, and joint business plans. - Drive strong in-store execution, visibility, and promotional effectiveness. - Collaborate closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations teams. - Lead, coach, and develop the Modern Trade sales team to achieve targets. - Monitor performance, trade spends, and market trends to identify growth opportunities.Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred). - 10–15 years of experience in FMCG sales, with strong exposure to Modern Trade / Key Account Management in India. - Proven experience managing large Modern Trade customers and regional chains. - Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and ability to drive profitable growth. - Leadership experience with a hands-on, execution-focused mindset. - Willingness to be based in Mumbai or Chennai, with regular travel as required.Why Join Nabati Food?- Be part of a growing FMCG brand with ambitious expansion plans in India. - Opportunity to shape and lead the Modern Trade strategy at a senior level. - High visibility role with strong business impact and career growth potential.
