Job Summary The Associate Manager – Administration & Operations (IT) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the school’s IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity, data security, and optimal performance of systems and devices. The role involves managing end-to-end IT operations including networking, hardware and software maintenance, IT asset procurement, e-waste management, and user support. The incumbent will work collaboratively with departments to ensure reliable technology integration across teaching, learning, and administrative functions while upholding the school’s operational and security standards.Job description Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of all network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, servers, and access points. Ensure smooth functioning of Apple Classroom, interactive panels, and other classroom technologies to support digital learning. Manage IT infrastructure upgrades, software licenses, and asset lifecycle from procurement to disposal. Supervise IT helpdesk operations, ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Coordinate with vendors and service providers for network and system maintenance, renewals, and support contracts. Monitor network performance, conduct regular audits, and implement corrective actions to ensure minimal downtime. Maintain and update IT inventory, asset registers, and documentation related to licenses, warranties, and AMCs. Ensure secure data storage, backup management, and cybersecurity measures are in place across the institution. Manage e-waste disposal responsibly in compliance with environmental and institutional regulations. Collaborate with the Administration and Finance teams for IT-related purchases, budget planning, and cost optimization. Conduct periodic training and awareness sessions for staff and students on technology use, data safety, and digital etiquette. Implement ERP, email systems, and other digital platforms efficiently across departments. Prepare monthly reports on IT performance, incidents, and asset utilization for leadership review.Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Electronics. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (CCNA, MCSE, CompTIA, etc.) preferred. Certification in network security or system administration will be an added advantage.Experience Requirements 6–10 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure management, networking, and system administration. Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and interactive panels. Familiarity with Apple ecosystems, classroom technology, and cloud-based storage solutions. Experience managing IT assets, e-waste, procurement, and vendor coordination. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and project management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to support non-technical users effectively. Proficiency in ERP platforms, MS Office Suite, and network monitoring tools.
