Required Information Details 1 Role Database Administrator 2 Required Technical Skill Set Maria DB, Mongo DB, MS SQL, Postgres, Cockroach, DB2 4 Desired Experience Range 6 to 10 yrs 5 Location of Requirement Chennai Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency) Must-Have (Ideally should not be more than 3-7) · Installation and configuration of DBs · Expertise on Installation, Backup, Restores/ refreshes, etc · Hands on experience in DB administration (HA, performance tuning, backups, monitoring, auditing) · Hands on experience in patching and overseeing and fixing the capacity issues · Co-ordinate with customers / other teams/vendors in resolving requests and incidents. · Providing assistance to the application team in identifying database problems · Providing support for BAU activities for 24*7 · Adhering to the ITIL Process · Strong communication skills with an ability to communicate with customers across geographies Good-to-Have · Basic knowledge of the Linux / AIX / Windows systems and its commands · High level performance tuning · Scripting Knowledge · Configuring and building DB2 partitioning · Knowledge on Cloud- AWS/AZURE SN Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role 1 1. DB service , Database , Physical/Logical space , DB Backup health check and maintenance. 2. Monitoring the status of all DB components alerts via tool and working with incidents generated due to alerts. 3.Performing day to day activities requested by end users via RITM, CR (DB access , DB objects level changes , Issues faced). 6. Patching, Upgradation, Migration of databases. 7.Performance tuning, Auditing, Masking, Encryption/Decryption. 8. Installation, Configuration, Maintenance of DR, Replication, HA setup. 9.Quarterly, Half yearly, Yearly Maintenance tasks
