Automation Developer

Position : Automation Developer Role Summary We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD developer with expertise in creating, optimizing, and maintaining Lisp programs, automation scripts, and custom toolsets to enhance CAD workflows and productivity. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in CAD automation, integration with external data sources, and developing custom utilities tailored to project requirements.Key Responsibilities Develop, debug, and maintain AutoLISP, Visual LISP, and related AutoCAD customization scripts. Design and implement automation routines to improve drafting efficiency and accuracy. Create and maintain CAD standards through automated tools and scripts. Integrate AutoCAD with external databases, APIs, and software applications. Document processes, workflows, and script functionalities for team use. Collaborate with design and engineering teams to identify automation opportunities. Provide technical support and training to CAD users on custom tools.Required Skills & Competencies Technical Expertise : Proficiency in AutoLISP, Visual LISP, and related AutoCAD customization languages. Experience with AutoCAD .NET API (C# / ) and ObjectARX (preferred). Strong understanding of AutoCAD drawing standards, layers, blocks, and dynamic blocks. Knowledge of parametric drawing and automation workflows. Automation & Scripting : Ability to develop custom dialog boxes (DCL), menus, palettes, and toolbars. Experience integrating AutoCAD with Excel, CSV, or SQL databases. Familiarity with automating repetitive CAD tasks (batch processing, drawing cleanup, plotting, etc.). Soft Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and quality control in automation development. Good communication skills to interact with design, engineering, and project teams.
